Bak kut teh is decent, normal prices, and that’s it. The meat is extremely tender, but the only one defect is that the flavor of the soup doesn’t get into the meat so much. Its taste of the Chinese herbs is not strong enough. Overall its a place that worth a try.

Good discovery of this Ba Kut Teh place while trying to take cover from New Lane hawker opposite when it started to rain. The place apparently has 2 names - Yi Xiang or Hong Xiang Bak Kut Teh Anyway the soup is flavorful with each dish served in a petite over-the-fire style bowl. The soup tastes slightly different for each dish at the end despite having the same soup base as it is stewed with the different dishes when served. No dry-mouth syndrome after as well, as they claim no msg is used, which is great. Pleasant find admist all the list of recommendations of Penang food which does not include this place.

chanced upon this place when we were looking for tau sar piah. there is a lot of variety of dishes for a Bak Kut Teh stall, from intestines to vegetables and of course the must have pork ribs. soup is herbal soup and the meat are surprisingly very tender. definitely would have ordered more if we didn't have a big dinner coming up.

The place is just beside hotel sentral. It is a unique way of ordering bat kut teh, where their bat kut teh is given in small dishes of each kind( instead of one big hot pot) . Taste wise is nice, but the price is premium as well.

49.90 for 4 person set meal. 1 less star as the waiter served the wrong dish even though there is only 3 table of customers in the whole restaurant. The pork leg is super delicious and soft plus its not very fatty. Full of meat.
